The Abundant Treasure of God's Word Psalm 119:97-104

“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.”
His Word offers focus and attention on solid, God-given, eternal perspective truth which the heart longs for and loves.

Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.”
His Word gives wisdom greater than obstacles & challenges, wisdom greater than Satan himself, and this wisdom is ever available.

“I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.”
His Word gives insight, perception and understanding surpassing the paltry benefit of the mere accumulation of knowledge.

I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.”
His Word gives discernment, perception and awareness that exceeds that which is gained in maturity.

"I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word.”
His Word prompts & demands restraint from wickedness, from every evil way...in a word, purity.

“I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me.”
His Word cultivates persistant attention of heart to his precepts, as they are from God himself.

How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth.”
God’s Word gives new appetite and desire which make righteousness a delight.

Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.”

God’s Word gives comprehension of Biblical perspective which leaves a repulsive distaste for everything anti-God. Not just as a duty to resist, but as a desire to flee.

This is the abundant treasure of God's Word.

"Oh, how I love your law."
