Abundant and Undeserved

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His mercy endures forever.  

This week brought 2 pretty big financial needs into our home.  Converging upon our already-taxed budget simultaneously , they loomed large and insurmountable.

I decided to bring them to the Lord, and very specifically laid out my request.

“Lord, you know our needs. You can provide this $$  in the proverbial blink of an eye. I am asking in faith (and submission to whatever your answer) for you to supply this.  Please grant our need.  Bring in the money to replace our van, and give us the payment for Josh’s speech fee."

I asked.

Two days later a check arrived in the mail.  It covered exactly our need in both areas and $100 over.  It was the escrow surplus  from our recent mortgage refinancing that we hadn’t been informed would be refunded.

But God knew.

The timing. The need. The provision.  The providence.

And now my great praise.

Thank you, my wonderful, gracious, ever-giving God.
