A Good Laugh

In my preparations for tonight's ladies meeting which will focus on Tracing God's Providence through the Seasons of a Woman's Life, I have collected the following quotes. Most are humorous; each is insightful.

Enjoy.

"Women are like cell phones. They like to be held and talked to, but push the wrong button, and you'll be disconnected."
---Unknown

"When you're in jail, a good friend will be trying to bail you out. A best friend will be in the cell next to you saying, "Wow! That was fun.'"
--Anonymous

"The truth is that parents are not really interested in justice. They just want quiet."
---Bill Cosby

"Cleaning your house while your kids are still growing is like shoveling the walk before it stops snowing."
---Phyllis Diller

"You've reached middle age when all you exercise is caution."
---Unknown

"You know your children have grown up when they stop asking you where they came from and refuse to tell you where they are going."
---Unknown

"It is amazing how quickly the kids learn to drive a car, yet are unable to understand the lawnmower, snowblower or vacuum cleaner."
---Ben Bergor

"Adolescence is perhaps nature's way of preparing parents to welcome the empty nest."
---Karen Savage and Patricia Adams

A woman is like a tea bag - you never know how strong she is until she gets in hot water.
-- Eleanor Roosevelt

  2. Wow, I didn't know you were having this kind of "in depth, serious" discussion at the women's meeting the other night. I obviously missed out:) Sorry I couldn't be there.
